Our story
From poacher to gamekeeper
We set up Driving Down in late 2020 to add some honesty and transparency to an industry that had been unregulated for so long, and had tarnished the benefits a fuel card can bring a business.
Our co-founders, Adam Walsh and Mark Kilvington, had spent over 40 years in the industry. Over that time they watched it become a corporate money-making machine, where the customer came second to the profit expectations of international holding company owners.
They wanted a business that didn't just help companies secure a great fuel card deal, but managed and monitored it every week so it stayed a great deal. That way, businesses avoid the hassle of swapping and changing every few months, and jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Two ways we look after your fuel cards
Contracted partner cards
We set up contracted agreements with selected fuel card providers. Any Driving Down member who takes out their cards gets free cards for life, a contracted market-tracking price and a lifetime guarantee of no fees or charges on the account.
Fuel Management Partner
Switching cards and provider can be a logistical nightmare, so clients asked us to manage their current provider instead. Each week we negotiate with your supplier for a better price, so you're not overcharged.
Invoices checked for you
We analyse your invoices to find surcharges or fees that can be reduced or removed, saving you significant amounts on your monthly fuel costs and taking an arduous job off your hands.
